Why do you take pictures?
The reason I make photographs is to express myself and to explore my unique perspectives and my understanding of the world around me.
Where do you get your inspiration?
My influences are largely derived from my environment. I enjoy the opportunity of interacting with different individuals, yet I also treasure moments of solitude and introspection. It's a harmonious balance of both aspects that enriches my work.
Who are your influences?
I'm influenced by different people's work, but film director Christopher Nolan's work is one of my favorites. I enjoy watching his films and I'm inspired by the complex storytelling they embody. One of my favorite photographers I would say is Gregory Crewdson, I enjoy his series Beneath the Roses. It certainly influenced my photography.
What determines the subject matter you choose?
My choice of subject matter is primarily driven by my fascination and interest in a particular topic. If I lack passion for a subject, I find it challenging to engage with it. Typically, my subjects center around personal narratives, drawing from my own experiences and observations.
What impact would you like your art to have?
Through my art, I aim to challenge established norms, and ignite a sense of curiosity within the viewers, encouraging them to contemplate the complexities and wonders of life itself.
What artwork do you never get bored with?
I certainly don't have any artwork I can think of that I never get bored with.
Is there anything you want to add?
No.
