Why do you take pictures?
Photography is a way for me to reconcile with myself. Through photography, I have been able to constantly explore the boundaries of consciousness.
Where do you get your inspiration?
My inspiration comes from my inner awareness of the surroundings.
Who are your influences?
There are many great artists who have influenced me, but whenever I try to think of them, I forget them.
What determines the subject matter you choose?
Based on the interest in "object", as well as my childhood experience of talking to objects and disassembling and reassembling them, my works all focus on "object", and reconstruct it through defamiliarization, to create an absurd scene based on reality, and to show the tension hidden in the representation.
What impact would you like your art to have?
I hope my works can arouse people's curiosity.
What artwork do you never get bored with?
Artwork that has a strong personal style, focuses on niche topics, and shows something new in the form or content.
Is there anything you want to add?
Live in photography.
The System of Objects
Project statement
Based on the interest in "object" and "material culture", as well as my childhood experience of talking to objects and disassembling and reassembling them, my works all focus on "object", and reconstruct it through defamiliarization, in an attempt to create an abnormal scene based on reality. Now that the abundance of objects has become an important feature of society, I hope to explore new manifestations of objects, and reflect on topics such as the social meaning of objects and its relationship with people.
I also hope to push beyond the usual cognitive boundaries of photography and open up more interesting and even subversive possibilities of expression. The dialogue and collision between reality and fiction is particularly fascinating and is the focus of my work.
