3 words to describe you
Creative, persistent, happy!
Why do you take pictures?
To tell and share the stories that matter to me.
Where do you get your inspiration?
From everyday life encounters.
Who are your influences?
Christo & Jean Claude, Doris Salcedo, Miguel Ángel Rojas, Ricardo Cases,
What determines the subject matter you choose?
It must reflect on social and political tensions in Colombia and has to have a continuity on my previous projects.
What impact would you like your art to have?
All art is political. I hope my work brings a call-to-action to the audience.
What artwork do you never get bored with?
One that's dynamic that permits me to ask questions rather than getting answers.
Is there anything you want to add?
Most of my work is based on participatory and urban and landscape interventions that are later photographed. I use architecture, sculpture and drawing as allies in the creation of images and objects that represent experiences and dreams; new realities -or other points of view- away from set beliefs.
