Why do you take pictures?
A picture can convey a thousand words. It has the power to express what words alone cannot. I firmly believe that photography doesn't just freeze a moment, it captures a piece of history. Photographs document the world as it was at a particular moment, allowing us to revisit and remember the past. This is why I am passionate about taking photographs.
Where do you get your inspiration?
The very essence of the moment serves as my inspiration to capture it through photography. When I'm behind the lens, my mind becomes a blank canvas, and I immerse myself fully in the present. I am consumed by the sights, sounds, and emotions of the scene unfolding before me. It is this complete immersion in the present that fuels my inspiration, compelling me to seize the opportunity to capture the moment through my lens.
Who are your influences?
There are so many artists that I like and get influence by their work.
Some artists like Bruce Gilden, Sagar Chhetri, Navesh Chitrakar, Munem Wasif, Sohrab Hura and many more.
What determines the subject matter you choose?
The subject matter I choose for my photography is often influenced by various factors. It typically depends on my personal interests, artistic vision and the specific goals or messages I want to convey through my work.
What impact would you like your art to have?
Photography is a universal language that transcends barriers, allowing people of all backgrounds to comprehend its meaning. The photograph does not only act as tool to capture history but it also serves as a catalyst for social change. With my art, I want to unveil hidden stories of communities and people’s experience, thereby nurturing empathy and enhancing mutual comprehension.
What artwork do you never get bored with?
I have a strong appreciation for electronic dance music (EDM songs), particularly within the big room and progressive trance genres. I don't have a specific preference for any particular music producer, as there are countless talented producers who bring their unique styles to this genre.
I find endless enjoyment in this type of music and never get bored of it..
Is there anything you want to add?
I think this is enough...

Not The Same Anymore
Project statement

Over my lifetime, I’ve seen the land structure around my residence change with commercialization. The transformation has cost the traditional agricultural base of my hometown, gradually giving way to an expanding urban fabric.
Earlier the aroma of petrichor and the sound of rustling leaves used to be the two particular things that I used to hear as I opened my eyes every morning. Now it has been totally eradicated by the pungent smell of chemicals and smoke puffing from brick kilns, nauseating my soul.
Farms which used to be the second home for peasants rearing and caring for their crops have been bulldozed for buildings and for other commercial purposes.
Though the change is unavoidable and cities have to transform with time, the indigenous quality of the land has degraded haphazardly. The increasing number of brick kilns and plotting of land has faded the ambience of my hometown. Sipadol, Bhaktapur isn’t the same anymore.
