Godly Confluence
Devprayag is a town located at the foothills of the Himalayas. In this unique place, two rivers, Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, converge to form the Ganges River, revered as India’s Mother River. Over 900 km down-stream, on its banks in the holy city of Varanasi, dozens of bodies are burned on funeral pyres each day by the Untouchables, undergoing their final earthly transformation.
Awareness
Through the big hole (latin: “foramen magnum”), the medulla oblongata exits the skull and continues as the spinal cord within the vertebral canal. These three elements: the brain within the skull, the medulla oblongata, and the spinal cord, collectively form the central nervous system.

During an autopsy, pathologists remove internal organs for thorough examination to determine the cause of death. This process may involve the removal of the heart, lungs, liver, stomach, intestines, and other vital organs. After examination, the organs are placed in a plastic bag, which is then inserted into the abdominal cavity. Finally, technicians stitch up the body using strong surgical threads.
The stitching process aims to close all incisions and restore the external appearance of the body as closely as possible to its natural state.
Tissue
Bioprinting 3D and tissue engineering are advanced technologies that have the potential to revolutionize regenerative medicine. The Foundation of Research and Science Development is engaged in creating bionic pancreatic tissues using 3D bioprinting technology. The project focuses on developing functional pancreatic lobules that can aid in the treatment of diabetes and other pancreas-related diseases.
No’am
Project statement
“Man is what he is not
and he is not what he is”
Jean-Paul Charles Sartre
No’am is a journey inspired by the death of a loved one, aiming to draw attention to the essence of being in the context of presence. Abstract portraits of people who are close to the theme of death intertwine with photographs of objects intended to bring us closer to the theme of the drive for survival through technology. Inspired by Sartre's idea that one is always in the process of becoming, this journey emphasizes the continuous process of transformation inherent in presence.

Release
Julia, a multimedia artist, found working on the project “Return from Arkhangelsk” to be a means of processing the near-loss of her life and aiding her in the grieving process. The accident that took a close person forever changed her life.
Group portrait
Pacemakers must be removed from bodies before cremation due to the risk of explosion during the process. The high temperatures reached during cremation can cause the pacemaker to explode, potentially damaging older cremation furnaces.
Grail
A fragment of a lower limb prosthesis.
Cut
Monika. Cancer has defined the horizon of life.
Cloudy
Within a few hours after death, the cornea begins to lose its transparency, becoming cloudy and dull. This is partly due to the loss of hydration.
Silos
Containers by KrioRus for storing bodies and brains of the deceased. Cryopreservation is the process of freezing cells or tissues at very low temperatures, typically using liquid nitrogen. The goal is to preserve them in a state that may allow for potential future revival when medical technology permits.
Wisdom
“Illness has drawn my attention to the importance of embracing myself. It is incredibly important to learn to show oneself tenderness.” —Monika
