We are at a crossroads.
How did another year disappear so quickly?
It’s summer again in the northern hemisphere and it is see-zeen’s second anniversary. Feels like we just celebrated our first year!
Happy birthday see-zeen!
This summer has exposed climate issues to a broader population as it affects more people personally. Accelerated climate events have brought it home to some of us that vacationing and travel habits may have to change as fires rage and temperatures rise. The debate continues.
On a lighter note Oppenheimer and Barbie were released simultaneously in the US in the event “Barbenheimer,” causing a mini culture quake. If this gets people away from home screens, fills cinema seats and ignites discussions we say that's a good thing. Worth noting is that both films, despite their apparent disparity, have sparked thought provoking discussions about social and political issues alike.
In this issue our regular feature A Visual Dialogue is on hold as we invited all our previous A Visual Dialogue participants to create new work for collab:co-op for our anniversary issue.
